The Hound & Heather

  • The Hound & Heather is a brand-new gastropub on the edge of the Surrey Hills housed inside a spectacular character property built in the late 1800s.

The pub’s name is inspired by the wild heather found growing all across The Surrey Hills which starts literally on the pub’s doorstep, and by the iconic book, The Hound of The Baskervilles, whose author Arthur Conan Doyle is believed to have written parts of the book at the very property where the pub now stands.

The interiors of the pub will reference the Surrey Hills landscape characterised by its wild heaths, gorse and bracken with soft shades of heather, bracken and fern.

The building boasts many original features and provides lots of natural character which will work in harmonious contrast to the contemporary look and feel of the forthcoming new interiors.

Contemporary, comfortable, simple and clean lines will provide an inviting ambience for families, couples and groups to gather for Sunday roast, mid-week dinner, lunch and bar snacks.

The food is of a high gastropub standard and menus are seasonally-led.
